A Special Project
This work was a special project for the mother-daughter team of Kathy and Rebekah Singh.

The Artist's Touch
All of the artwork, from the lifelike illustrations to the detailed icons, was drawn by Rebekah. The paw prints throughout the book are especially meaningful because they are from Trixie's actual prints.

Truth be told: one might rightly suspect our visit to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter was simply devised to entertain the kids on that dreary spring break day. Yes, I may have been thinking: “Score! Free petting zoo!"

It seemed like a great idea at the time. Pet the dogs, have some fun, and call it a day. The kids would be happy, and I’d get “Cool Mom” points. With two crazy dogs already at home, I didn't intend to adopt that day. I never pictured walking out with a big, rambunctious pup. So much for my plan: God had another.

In 33 easy-to-read daily devotions, Spiritual Lessons from a Dopey Dog tells the lighthearted tales of Roscoe, Cosmo, and Trixie. Roscoe is a nine-month-old Shepherd-Husky pup when he joins the pack. His ways are odd and amusing. One moment racing through the yard with a bucket on his head, and the next, he is busting through the chain-link fence. He has the odd habit of climbing on top of the dog house when it rains, and he escapes the yard every chance he gets. You never know what to expect from him next. Each story unpacks practical lessons and spiritual applications to make this a fun devotional for the entire family.
